THE SINGLE EQUALITY SCHEME 2011-2014
Standguide is committed to providing equality for all of staff and customers alike and it has a robust inclusive approach. The company seeks to create a safe, supportive learning environment in which everyone is treated with dignity and respect. This is evidenced in Standguide’s Mission Statement, Operational Plans and a wide range of policies and procedures. Furthermore, annual self assessment processes ensure that developments and improvements to the company systems are ongoing.
Standguide’s Single Equality Scheme is in part the result of the combined issues which have been identified by the company’s Strategic Plans, the functional and departmental Self Assessment Reports, Quality Improvement Plans and the available data. To date the Scheme has been published on the company Intranet site and is a working document.
This Equality Scheme describes how Standguide will fulfil its responsibility to:
• promote equality of opportunity
• avoid/prevent discrimination
• place the advancement of inclusion, equality and diversity at the centre of its work
• fulfil the requirements of its remit in a way which promotes equality
• ensure that Standguide operates best practice as an employer in pursuit of equality and diversity
