Carol Young

Carol came along to our Job Boost Seminar in Crewe on the 16th June 2009. She had previously worked in office environments for over 20 years and had gained experience and skills in all aspects of administration. Due to being out of work for 30 months she had lost a lot of her confidence and had bad experiences at interviews. Carol gained a lot of knowledge and advice from the Seminar on how to create a CV and help with the interview techniques. It was apparent from speaking to Carol that she needed additional support and guidance so we referred her on to our Programme Centre in Crewe. Carol started with the Programme Centre on the 22nd June 2009 and applied for a vacancy as an Admin Assistant with the NHS. Carol’s confidence was ‘boosted’ at interviews due to the help she had received from Standguide. Carol’s interview was successful and she went on to gain employment with the NHS and is still currently working there.
