How We Help Customers
Starting the Work Programme
Once you are referred onto the Work Programme by Jobcentre Plus, you will receive a phone call from Standguide, followed by a letter confirming the date, time and location of your first appointment.
At this appointment you will meet your Standguides Advisor who will find out more about you, tell you more about the programme, explain the support that is available and create a personal plan for you. Time will be taken at this initial meeting to discuss your barriers and to see how they are best overcome, whether it be health issues, lack of experience, anxiety or lack of motivation. Our professional staff will be their to guide you through the best way to tackle these areas. We develop an action plan with each customer, taking into consideration personal these barriers, previous work history and personal qualities.
