Skills Support for the Unemployed
Standguide are offering fully funded, tailored skills support to unemployed people looking to get back into work.
We deliver tailored careers advice and training primarily through e-learning platforms, allowing our learners to improve their skills at their own pace. We will support customers in developing the skills required to meet the needs of local employers and the wider economy.
Training includes, but is not limited to:
- Digital Skills: Learners will progress their digital and ICT skills through our innovative E-learning platforms and on-hand support from our Mentors.
- Employability Skills: Learners can benefit from a range of modules aiming to strengthen their employability skills including: CV writing, online jobsearch, completing applications and interview skills – leading to a BTEC qualification in Work Skills.
- Personalised Job-Matching Service: Our Employer Relations Advisers work with employers across the country, allowing us to offer our customers exclusive, ring-fenced vacancies for local, long-term jobs.
Functional Skills: Qualifications designed to ensure learners possess the essential competencies to succeed and progress in any and all duties, including:
Personal and Thinking Skills: Self-assessment, communication skills, sales and customer service, data security, conflict management, building working relationships and manual handling, all designed to help customers work effectively in new workplaces.
Skills for Career Progression: Learners can benefit by developing their management and supervisory skills to enhance their career progression, including: improving performance, resolving complaints and grievances, handling disciplinary action and risk assessments.
