If you are unemployed and looking for work, Standguide can offer you a number of services to meet your needs and help you achieve your career and employment goals.

Flexible New Deal – Delivered throughout Greater Manchester

Flexible New Deal (FND) is the new employment programme that offers you innovative help and support to overcome your specific barriers and gain employment.

This includes:

• A personalised approach to meet your needs and ambitions. You will work closely with your Advisor Mentor who will help you identify your job / career goals, including where to get additional training if required.

• A bank of vacancies for you to apply to, and advice on how to complete application forms and handle your interview. They will see you once every two weeks and even continue to offer you support once you are in work.

• Tailored support to match your skills and experience with the needs of local employers. This additional help is provided through the support of our Employer Account Managers who work directly with employers in helping them fill their vacancies.

Job Centre Plus Support Programme – delivered throughout Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside

From day one of being unemployed, this service can provide you with all the practical help and support to get you back into work. We help you produce an effective CV and give you advice on how to make the most of your work skills and experience to date. We teach you interview techniques, where to find hidden vacancies and how to speculatively approach companies for employment opportunities.

Skills for Life – delivered across Greater Manchester

This practical programme is designed to help you develop your reading, writing, numeracy and ICT skills that often can hold you back when getting a job. All our teaching is based on practical job based requirements and will give you the confidence to apply for jobs and gain employment.
