ESF Higher Skills Support Programme for Unemployed and Economically Inactive
Standguide are offering fully funded higher skills support across Greater Manchester, for unemployed and economically inactive people aged 16 years or over.
Our aim is to help learners progress to a higher-level qualification, subject to their individual needs, across an average of 2-4 weeks. Our flexible delivery creates a bespoke package of training and support for each learner.
Awards: Each learner will benefit from a personalised package on this provision. This may entail a full level 2 qualification, or a ‘mix and match’ of levels 2 and 3 from a selection of Awards including Work Skills and sector-specific training including Business Administration, Management and Customer Service.
Learners can access over 100 units covering occupational, specific and personal development modules as well as employability units.
Soft Skills/Employability Support: Learners can benefit from additional soft skills training to enhance their opportunities to enter employment via workshops and flexible e-learning modules. Work tasters will also be encouraged to improve confidence, motivation, social skills and build valuable experience of the workplace.
Additional support: To support with any social, economic, academic and personal barriers to progression that may arise, we will also provide personalised information, advice and guidance alongside 1-2-1 and wraparound support.
Ongoing progression: To encourage ongoing progression above and beyond this course, work experience and project work across Greater Manchester can be accessed. We also provide a personalised job matching service and support learners who wish to progress into further education or to undertake further training.
We specialise in adapting our service to meet employers’ needs, performing a detailed training needs analysis for every company we work with.
